First Encounter With The Industry

Throughout one week we had a guest speaker attend our class. He was none other than co-founder and co-owner of Yeti Farms Creative, Todd Ramsay. Some of the notable series his company has worked on being Pete the Cat and the Hotel Transylvania series. 

He talked about his animation journey and how he came to create his company. The stories he told were truly engaging; how he broke his dominant hand and learned to draw with the other, his crazy dabbling in advertising, and the horrors of his first studio. The most memorable to me was how, when he decided he wanted to be an animator, he didn't have the best portfolio and wasn't the top in his class but he wanted to improve and he was willing to work hard to get there. 

In the end it was an exciting event and hopefully we will get the chance to do it again.
